Specifically, he wrote "an extraordinarily consistent answer within an incredible variety of fields... you need to have practiced, to possess apprenticed, for ten thousand hours prior to getting good."
I reached the ten,000 number many years ago and also have a fairly well cultivated capability to assess talent in many fields.
